We thank all participants and schools who have registered for the Kangaroo Math Competition which was scheduled to take place on 26 March 2020.

Due to the current developments surrounding the COVID-19 situation, and the uncertainties facing us in the days ahead, we urge everyone to take utmost care of your health and safety, and to closely follow the guidelines issued by the authorities.

Because of this issue, there are some changes in Kangaroo Math Competition 2020, namely:

๐Ÿ. ๐…๐จ๐ซ ๐ฌ๐œ๐ก๐จ๐จ๐ฅ๐ฌ ๐ซ๐ž๐ ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐ž๐ซ๐ž๐ ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ ๐Š๐š๐ง๐ ๐š๐ซ๐จ๐จ ๐Œ๐š๐ญ๐ก ๐‚๐จ๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ž๐ญ๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ: The Teacher-in-charge can postpone the competition date from 26 March 2020 to any date within the next one month. Hopefully, the situation will get better by then. If more time is needed, please inform the Kangaroo Math secretariat.

๐Ÿ. ๐…๐จ๐ซ ๐“๐ž๐š๐œ๐ก๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ-๐ข๐ง-๐œ๐ก๐š๐ซ๐ ๐ž: The contest package will be sent out to all schools this week. Please keep the contest package secure and confidential until the (postponed) contest date at your school.

๐Ÿ‘. ๐…๐จ๐ซ ๐ˆ๐ง๐๐ข๐ฏ๐ข๐๐ฎ๐š๐ฅ ๐๐š๐ซ๐ญ๐ข๐œ๐ข๐ฉ๐š๐ง๐ญ๐ฌ (๐ง๐จ๐ญ ๐ซ๐ž๐ ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐ž๐ซ๐ž๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ซ๐จ๐ฎ๐ ๐ก ๐š ๐ฌ๐œ๐ก๐จ๐จ๐ฅ): The Kangaroo Math Competition scheduled for individual participants on 26 March 2020 at four venues (Sunway College, SJKT Tasek Permai, SMK Taman Daya & SMK Sacred Heart) are canceled.

*As an alternative, the individual participants will be arranged to take the Kangaroo Math Competition 2020 online. A more detailed explanation will be sent by email to all Persons-in-charge of individual participants this Friday (20 March 2020).

We urge all schools organizing the Kangaroo Math Competition (at the postponed date) to comply with best practices for health and safety, in particular:

2020 has been an exceptional year, and this unfortunate situation is not only experienced by participants in Malaysia, but also the 6 million Kangaroo Math participants from all over the world.

Despite this less-than-ideal situation, let us continue to do the good work of promoting mathematics and problem-solving among the young people of Malaysia while keeping health and safety as our number one priority.
